ABOUT BUCHHOLZ
Buchholz joins the Nittany Lions after playing for Dan Ellis at Great Valley High School. The 6-foot-6, 238-pound defensive lineman led Great Valley to a 12-2 record, district title and the PIAA AAA quarterfinals in 2014. A MaxPreps Medium School All-American, Buchholz was named All-Southeastern Pennsylvania in 2014. Rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and a three-star player by ESPN, 247Sports.com and Scout.com, Buchholz was named first-team All-State (Class AAA) by Pennsylvania Football News. Rivals.com ranked Buchholz as the 15th-best defensive end in the class and the seventh-best player in Pennsylvania. 247Sports.com and Scout.com also ranked Buchholz among the Top 15 prospects in the state. He recorded 28 tackles for loss and 10 sacks as a senior in 2014. He also plays basketball, helping lead Great Valley to the PIAA Class AAAA quarterfinals in 2013.
