A consensus four-star defensive back, Reid helped lead St. Joseph's Prep School to back-to-back PIAA AAAA Championships in 2013 and 2014. He was selected to the 2015 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Playing on both sides of the ball for head coach Gabe Infante, Reid had 699 receiving yards (19.4 ypc) with 12 touchdowns offensively and two interceptions and a pick-six on the defensive end for the Hawks. He was the All-Catholic League MVP, earning spots on the league's first team as both a wide receiver and defensive back. In 2014, Reid was also selected as CBS Philly's Player of the Year, the Pennsylvania Football News Defensive Player of the Year and was a first-team All-State honoree in 2014. He also garnered CBS Philly's Player of the Year honor as a junior when he scored 12 touchdowns and had four interceptions. Rated as the top-ranked cornerback in Pennsylvania by, Reid is tabbed as the 13th-best cornerback and 95th overall player nationally. He is among the Top 5 recruits in Pennsylvania according to ESPN, and Additionally, he is the 16th-ranked corner according to ESPN and Rivals.
