LION CAREER:
2011-12: In his final season with the Nittany Lions Valdes made a strong debut with a sixth place finish at the Garret Open. The Garret was hosted by Penn State as served as the first major competition of the season for the team.

2010-11: In his third season with the Nittany Lions Valdes saw limited dual action. Competing against Drew University and Duke, he found victory against Drew going 2-0.

2009-10: Valdes went 11-8 competing in nearly all major tournaments for the Nittany Lions.

2008-09: Valdes went 2-2 in limited action last year, seeing action on Dec. 12.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Valdes spend his pre-collegiate career fencing for the Gold Blade Fencing Center in Southlake, Texas. His most memorable achievement during his time with the club was a second place finish at the Summer Nationals in 2007. Valdes plans on majoring in Marketing and Business Administration.
