Janos Gasparin heads into his senior season hoping to earn a spot in the starting foil rotation.

LION CAREER: 2007-08: The Texas native finished the season with a 5-4 overall duals match record. His victories came against Cleveland State, Haverford, Johns Hopkins, and Wayne State.

2006-07: Gasparin went 3-1 in the December 2 duals last year. He heads into his junior year with a 25-12 career mark.

2005-06: Gasparin went 22-11 as a rookie and placed 15th at the Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals. The Texas native went 6-4, 6-5 and 10-2 in his dual match dates.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Gasparin fenced at the Fencing Institute of Texas for his coach and father, Janos Gasparin. The younger Gasparin placed 12th in Juniors at the 2005 Summer Nationals and 14th in Division 1A at the same event.
