LION CAREER:
2011-12: David Gomez Tanamachi started his first season of collegiate action out strong with a 17th place finish at Penn States Garret Open. The Garret served as the first major tournament for the Nittany Lions this season.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Gomez Tanamachi comes to Penn State from Mexico City, D.F. Prior to coming to Penn State David fenced under Head Coach Teresa Raygoza at the National Level in Mexico. David was a member of the National Olympic team in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. He earned himself individual gold medals each year with the exception of 2005, when his team won the gold. His older brother Daniel is currently a junior on the Penn State fencing team.
