Penn State reached double figures in wins by the calendar year end for the third time under coach Patrick Chambers (2017-18: 11; 2015-16: 10, 2014-15: 12) and only the fourth time since 1997-98.
Penn State saw all 14 players on the roster receive time against Coppin State, with 11 scoring points.

Nittany Lions Individual Notes
Josh Reaves recorded 12 points for his 22nd career double-figure performance, adding a tied-career high five steals and added a team-best seven assists.
Jamari Wheeler led the team with a tied career-high seven boards. He also tied a career-high with four assists and added three steals.
Mike Watkins has scored double figures in seven-straight games with his 11-point outing. He has had 10 or more points in all but four games this season.
With three blocks, Watkins has now recorded a block in his last 30 outings (last without – 1/7 at Mich. St.)
Tony Carr scored 21 points. He has scored at least 10 points in a game 12 times this season and 38 times in his career. This was also his 12th 20-plus point performance, fourth this season.
Nazeer Bostick tallied his first career game with multiple three-point baskets. He finished with seven points, two rebounds, an assist, and a block.
Trent Buttrick hit his first career three-point basket, and finished with a career-high three points, adding a rebound.
John Harrar sank his first career free throw at the 10:26 mark in the second half. He finished the game with three points.
Deivis Zemgulis scored a season-high five points and added a rebound.
