Penn State Hoops Radio and TV Shows Debut This Week

The “Penn State Basketball Show” and “Penn State Basketball: In the Paint” both presented by Pepsi, return this week, airing for the first time in the 2013-14 season on Thursday and Friday, respectively. 

The Penn State Basketball Show, head coach Patrick Chambers’ weekly call-in radio show, will be broadcast live from Damon’s Grill in State College (1031 E. College Ave.) Thursday nights 6:05-7 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to ask questions of the coach live and in-person or by calling 1-800-52LIONS (525-4667). Questions will also be taken via twitter at @PennStateMBB by using the hashtag #AskPat. The show can be heard on more than 40 radio stations on the Penn State Sports Network and online at

The 2013-14 season of Penn State Basketball: In the Paint will debut Friday, Dec. 6. The fast-paced, Emmy-nominated 30-minute program follows the Nittany Lions on and off the court within-depth features, behind the scenes access and highlights from Penn State's battles on the hardwood.

In the Paint can be seen on several outlets throughout Pennsylvania and the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. metro markets. Check local listings or the affiliate schedule below. 

Penn State sits at 6-3 on the season heading into a 4 p.m. Saturday matchup against Marshall at the Bryce Jordan Center. Tickets for the game, and to all home games this season, are available from 1-800-NITTANY, Ticketmaster or the BJC ticket office.

There are several highlights for the game this weekend, including: 

  • Toys for Tots Day: Fans who bring a new, unwrapped toy to the gates can receive admission for just $5 per toy donated
  • Military Appreciation Day: Any valid Military ID (Past or Present) can receive up to 4 free tickets, with additional ticket purchases just $5
  • Subway Full Court Four Pack Day: Fans can purchase four tickets, four subs, and four drinks for just $40
  • Patriotic Hat Giveaway: As part of our military appreciate, fans who attend will receive a free Penn State Basketball Patriotic Cap while supplies last.
