Lions To Host Open Practice Nov. 5

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's basketball team invites all season ticket holders and Penn State Hoops Club members to an open practice at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 at the Bryce Jordan Center. The event leads up to the Nittany Lions' season opener at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 against Wagner.
Practice is open exclusively to 2013-14 season ticket holders (adult and student) and Penn State Hoops Club members and will feature door prizes and giveaways around an intras-quad scrimmage. Following the practice, fans can enjoy pizza and refreshments during a meet-and-greet with the team down on court level.
All fans are asked to enter through Gates A and B at the Jordan Center and present their season ticker holder card or a valid ID for admittance. Members of Nittany Nation, the basketball student support group, who have not picked up their t-shirt for the upcoming season may do so at this event.
Parking is available for free in Lot 44 (BJC East) after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Information on the Penn State Hoops Club, a schedule of future events and a membership application is available at www.PennStateHoopsClub.com. There are several levels of membership in the Penn State Hoops Club starting at $75 for an individual ($20 for Penn State students and youth in grades 9-12) and $200 for a family membership.
Penn State men's basketball season tickets and mini plans are available for purchase for a 2013-14 home schedule featuring 16 regular-season games, including nine clashes with Big Ten opponents. The "Return to Rec" presented by AAA event Dec. 14 against Princeton is not included in the season ticket package, but limited tickets remain for public sale. The 2013-14 Nittany Lions have a final tune-up for the regular season against Northwood (Fla.) at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2 in the Jordan Center. General admission seats are $5 and free for students with ID.
