Free Spikes Tickets Available for MBB Season Ticket Holders

Penn State men's basketball season ticket holders can enjoy a night at the ballpark this month with free tickets to an upcoming State College Spikes baseball game. The Spikes, a minor league affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, are partnering with the Penn State Athletics Ticket Office to offer two complimentary tickets to one of the August home games at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

To obtain two free tickets, season ticket holders should use the promo code #Climbing at the Spikes Ticket Office on the day of the game. The Spikes Ticket Office will have a list of all Penn State men's basketball season ticket holders, including new season ticket holders who purchased their seats during summer 2017. This special offer is not available online.

The Friday, Aug. 25 game has been designated as the Coaches vs. Cancer of Penn State night. Coach Patrick Chambers, entering his seventh year at the helm of the Nittany Lion men's basketball program, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at 6:45 p.m. The Spikes-Crosscutters game starts at 7:05 p.m.

The two complimentary tickets for Penn State men's basketball season ticket holders may be used for any of the Spikes' upcoming home games in August:

State College Spikes (Cardinals) vs. the West Virginia Black Bears (Pirates)

    Tuesday, Aug. 22, 7:05 p.m., Medlar Field
    Wednesday, Aug. 23, 7:05 p.m., Medlar Field
    Thursday, Aug. 24, 7:05 p.m., Medlar Field

State College Spikes (Cardinals) vs. the Williamsport Crosscutters (Phillies)

    Friday, Aug. 25, 7:05 p.m., Medlar Field -- Coaches vs. Cancer Penn State Night
    Saturday, Aug. 26, 7:05 p.m., Medlar Field
    Sunday, Aug. 27, 6:05 p.m., Medlar Field

The Spikes Ticket Office opens at 9 a.m. on gameday weekdays and at 10 a.m. on weekend days with games. Medlar Field opens an hour prior to first pitch.



Penn State men's basketball opens the 2017-18 season at the Bryce Jordan Center on Friday, Nov. 10 and deposits for new 2017-18 season tickets can be made by calling 1-800-NITTANY weekdays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Eastern time, at the Athletic Ticket Office in the Bryce Jordan Center from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. weekdays, or by visiting The Penn State Athletics ticket office will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Student season tickets go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 22 and may be ordered through the account manager.
