UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - A pair of rivalries highlight the semifinals schedule for the 11th-annual Legends Classic at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., as announced by event organizers on Monday. The Penn State men's basketball team will meet Pittsburgh in the second game of a doubleheader on Monday, Nov. 20 with former Big 12 Conference rivals Texas A&M and Oklahoma State squaring off in the evening's opener at 7 p.m. ET.

"We look forward to bringing our team back to New York," said Nittany Lion Basketball Coach Patrick Chambers. "Meeting high-level opponents in Pitt, and either Oklahoma State or Texas A&M, will be an exciting early season challenge for our team. One of the best parts of the Legends Classic experience is knowing what tremendous support we'll receive from our Penn State fans in the Barclays Center."

The winners of Monday's games will meet for the Legends Classic championship on Tuesday, Nov. 21. The Tuesday consolation game tips off at 3:30 p.m. ET with the championship game to follow. All four games of the championship rounds of the Legends Classic will air on ESPN networks.

Penn State holds a 75-72 edge in the series with Pitt as the two institutions have met on 147 previous occasions. While the Nittany Lions are the Panthers' most familiar in-state opponent, this is only the second neutral site meeting. The first was in last season's Never Forget Tribute Classic Dec. 10, 2016 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. where Pitt held off a Penn State rally for an 81-73 win.

Texas A&M and Oklahoma State renew a rivalry that began in 1917-18, but has not been played since the 2011-12 season. The Cowboys own a 31-17 advantage over the Aggies. Penn State and Oklahoma State met last in 1952 resulting in a 68-61 win for the Cowboys. The Nittany Lions and Aggies have not met previously in basketball.

Penn State, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, and Texas A&M will host two games on their home courts in addition to playing a pair of games in Brooklyn. They are joined in the Legends Classic by Pepperdine, Montana, Oral Roberts and UC-Santa Barbara.

The University Park Regional Rounds include two games at the Bryce Jordan Center with Montana on Wednesday, Nov. 15 and Oral Roberts on Friday, Nov. 24. Tickets for all Penn State Legends Classic games can be purchased through Penn State Ticket AccountManager or by calling 1-800-NITTANY.
