Basketball Hosts Team Camp, June 22-24




The 64-team turnout marks a 20-team increase over last year's camp.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; June 22, 2006 - Penn State men's basketball coach Ed DeChellis and the Nittany Lion coaching staff will host 64 teams Thursday through Saturday, June 22-24, as Penn State will have its largest turnout ever for the Nittany Lion Basketball Team Camp. Teams from Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and New Jersey will see almost non-stop action and get hands on instruction as they compete in the Bryce Jordan Center, Intramural Sports Building and Multi-Sport Complex on the Penn State campus.

The 64-team turnout is a 20-team increase over last year's camp. The popularity of Nittany Lion Basketball Camps continue to grow under the direction of DeChellis who enters his fourth season at the Nittany Lion helm in 2006-07.
