UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Combination guard Myreon Jones Jr.  will join the Penn State men’s basketball program as a member of the class of 2018, coach Patrick Chambers announced today. A 6-3, 170-lb. senior, Jones signed his national letter of intent to enroll at Penn State and play for the Nittany Lions in 2018-19.

“M.J. will help transform our backcourt with his versatility and competitiveness,” said Chambers. “With his skills, high basketball I.Q. and leadership qualities, he makes everyone around him better. He’s a high achiever on the basketball court and in the classroom. We’re thrilled to bring M.J. to Penn State.”

During the regular season, he scored a game-high 31 points against Pinson Valley and had 30 points, including four 3-pointers, in a Class 7A, Area 6 Tournament victory over Spain Park.
