Nittany Lions Fall to Temple, 65-59

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; - The Penn State men's basketball team fell to Temple Saturday night at the Bryce Jordan Center, 65-59, snapping the team's nine-game home winning streak and 14 non-conference home game win streak.

Penn State sophomore Talor Battle led all Nittany Lion scorers, scoring 19 points for his 25th-career and 13th-consecutive double-digit scoring game, going 6-of-15 from the field and dishing out seven assists. Senior Jamelle Cornley added 14 points and six rebounds.

Temple's leading scorer, Dionte Christmas, was held scoreless until 5:15 remaining in the game. The Owls (4-3) relied on senior Semaj Inge, who had 19 points. Ryan Brooks added 15 points - all in the second half - and Lavoy Allen had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Penn State (7-2) host Army on Wednesday, December 10. Tip-off is set or 7 p.m., with ESPNU televising the game.
