UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Despite 15 points from Talor Battle and another 13 from David Jackson, Penn State's men's basketball team (8-6, 0-2 Big Ten) dropped a 63-46 decision to No. 23 Wisconsin at the Bryce Jordan Center on Sunday afternoon. The Badgers' Trevon Hughs led all scorers with 18 points.
The story of the day proved to be shooting percentage, with Wisconsin going 46.9% (23-49) from the floor and Penn State shooting 35.4% (17-48) for the game. Fouled often by the Badgers, the Nittany Lions went to the line 19 times, but converted only seven free throws. Rebounds were nearly even for both teams, with the Badgers pulling down 34 and the Nittany Lions 35.
