A walk-on who joined the team prior to the 2007-08 campaign, Kirkpatrick is an excellent teammate providing physical and energetic play in practice and positive support and encouragement to his teammates. A standout at Cumberland Valley High School, Kirkpatrick's positive attitude and enthusiasm as well as basketball knowledge and work ethic have been a strong addition to the team. He earned better than a 3.3 grade-point average in his first year on campus.

In his first year with the Lions, Kirkpatrick lettered and played in four games.
HIGH SCHOOL
A three-year lettermen and two-year starter at Cumberland Valley High...Kirkpatrick earned first team All-Sentinel from the Carlisle Sentinel and was named All-Mid Penn by the Harrisburg Patriot-News his senior year as he helped the Eagles to an 18-10 record and to the state playoffs for the first time in five years...Also named to the Big 15 by the Patriot-News and was chosen by PAHoops.org to represent Pennsylvania in the Pennsylvania vs. New Jersey All-Star game...Averaged 18 points and seven rebounds per game as a senior....Earned third team All-Sentinel and Big 15 honorable-mention as a junior while posting 13 points and seven rebounds a game...team captain his junior and senior seasons...Named tournament MVP of the 2006 Ephrata Christmas Tournament after hitting game winning three-pointers at the buzzer in back-to-back games...Named to the Patriot-News All-Underclass Team as a sophomore...A member of the National Honor Society and National Foreign Language Honor Society...Served as class treasurer and representative...Named Mechanicsburg Area Rotary Club Student of the Month in 2006.
