A finalist for Minnesota Mr. Basketball, Woodward is a tough and competitive point-guard who brings excellent outside shooting ability and a hard-nosed grittiness to the Penn State line-up. One of the top scorers in the state of Minnesota over the past two years, Woodward also is a smart point-guard who can run a team and is a proven winner who excelled in close games. He will challenge for playing time in a very strong Penn State backcourt as he learns coach Patrick Chambers' system behind All-Big Ten point-guard Tim Frazier.

"A lot of these Minnesota kids, they are tough. They've got this Minnesota swagger, which I love. Graham is a floor general. He's a heady leader. He's going to deliver the ball when you want him to. He's tough; he's nasty; he's fearless. It's exactly what we need."
