A foot injury curtailed Dubois' freshman season, but the Florida native showed signs of his tremendous athleticism in practice and worked back to full strength by the end of the year...A good perimeter shooter with slashing skills to get to the rim, he will battle for playing time in the Nittany Lion backcourt in his redshirt freshman season.
2005-06 SEASON - REDSHIRT
A redshirt season...Played in two of the first three games on the season before suffering a stress fracture in his left foot in practice prior to the seventh game of the year at Pittsburgh (12/10)...Underwent surgery to correct the fracture on Dec. 15 and redshirted the rest of the season...Returned to practice late in the season...Scored seven points (hitting five-of-seven from the free throw line and one-of-two from the field) and added a rebound and an assist in just five minutes in his collegiate debut against Nicholls State (11/23)...Scored two points vs. Long Island (11/26)...Added athleticism and long range shooting in practices.
Dubois helped lead powerful Dillard High Shool (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) to a 27-2 record and a spot in the regional semifinals of the Florida High School 5A Championships in 2004-05...Averaged 14.0 points, 7.0 rebound and 6.0 assists per game as a senior...Earned All-State honors during his time at Dillard, playing for head coach Darryl Burrows...Won the pre-game three-point shooting contest at the Florida North-South All-Star game...Was a Miami Herald All-County selection...Played at Dillard for two years, starting in both campaigns and helping lead the team to a 44-9 record during that span...A starter for Team Breakdown, a top-level Florida AAU squad and one of the nation's most respected AAU programs coached by Kenny Gillion...Under the guidance of Gillion, Breakdown has produced a number of Division I players and is one of the best AAU teams in the state of Florida.
