Roberts joined the Penn State program in the summer of 2013 after earning his degree from Miami (OH). He was a three-year starter for the RedHawks and led the team in scoring posting 12.3 ppg in 2012-13. A strong, physical guard, Roberts is eligible to play immediately for the Nittany Lions and has one season of eligibility remaining. He brings 724 career points and 80 career threes to the line-up having played in 92 career games and made 54 starts at Miami. A good scorer, he brings five career 20-point games to the Lion backcourt and the experience and maturity of a seasoned collegiate player. He ranked sixth in the MAC making nearly 80 percent at the foul line last year and is expected to be an immediate contributor in the Penn State line-up.
"Allen is a strong, physical guard with a Big Ten body. He is a good shooter and scorer, plays hard and brings great experience and a mature approach. We are excited to add him to what we feel is one of the most talented backcourts in the nation."
