University Park, Pa. - For the second straight year, the entire Penn State baseball team took time out of their daily practice and class schedules to lend a helping hand in the annual Centre County United Way Day of Caring, which was held yesterday, Thursday, October 4.
The Nittany Lions worked with the Centre County Historical Society in helping to maintain the Centre Furnace Mansion located at the corner of East College Ave. and Porter Rd. The team helped out with tree maintainence, yard maintainance, as well as overall maintainance of the inside of the mansion. The baseball team was one of several Penn State teams that once again lended a helping hand around Centre County in the annual United Way Day of Caring.
Penn State will get back to the diamond this weekend for two more intrasquad scrimmages beginning Friday, October 5 at 3:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m.
