MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., May 19, 2000 -- Penn State's Chris Wright (State College, Pa.), who had a two-run homer against Ohio State in Wednesday's Big Ten Tournament opening win, will miss the remainder of the games because of illness. "Chris tested positive for mononucleosis," said athletic trainer John Smith. "The combination of the illness and the associated enlarged spleen prevent him from playing. He will be further evaluated back in State College following the tournament." Wright, a sophomore outfielder, was selected first team All-Big Ten. The second-seeded Lions (39-15) will face No. 1 seed Minnesota at 5 p.m. CDT today.
