Penn State Baseball Team's Second Round Game At Big Ten Tourney Rescheduled

Columbus, Ohio, May 16, 2001 - The 2001 Big Ten Baseball Tournament, hosted by The Ohio State University at Bill Davis Stadium, has been postponed because of rain and field conditions.

Game two of the tournament, which pitted No. 2 seed Purdue against No. 5 seed Illinois, was postponed with two outs in the top half of the fifth inning and will resume at 10:00 a.m. Thursday. All subsequent games will be played one time interval later.

No. 1 seed Ohio State will play No. 6 seed Michigan at 12:05 p.m. The loser of the game will play the loser of the Purdue vs. Illinois game at 3:35 p.m. The winner of the Ohio State vs. Michigan game will play Penn State at 7:05 p.m.

Penn State's second round game on Thursday, versus either Ohio State or Michigan, will be broadcast live on State College's 1450 AM WMAJ and via the internet at www.GoPSUsports.com beginning at 7:05 p.m. (ET).
