Penn State Closes Out Home Season Against Ohio State

$25,000 Perfect Pitch, McLanahan's Bat Day, Phillie Phanatic and Rider Car Giveaway Highlight final home series

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.--With only four games against Ohio State remaining on the Penn State baseball regular-season home schedule, the Lions will have special promotions for fans each day. The series begins Saturday and ends Monday at Beaver Field.

In conjunction with Saturday's 3 p.m. series opener, it will be McLanahan's Bat Day. The first 250 kids ages 12 & under will receive a limited-edition Penn State bat courtesy of McLanahan's. It could also be profitable for one lucky fan as The Revolution, Avalon Water, Uni-Mart and Pepsi sponsor the Perfect Pitch contest. Fans need to listen to the Revolution 101.1 to find out how to become one of five finalists to attempt to throw a strike for $25,000 cash.

With first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday, Penn State will honors its seven seniors--Michael Campo, Darin Cunningham, Shawn Fagan, Dan Goebeler, Jeff Kunkle, Joe Puliafico and Eric Spadt--before the game. During the game, the Phillie Phanatic will be making an appearance. Sponsored by Supelco, fans of all ages will enjoy the crazy antics of this famous Phillies mascot.

Both Sunday and Monday will be the final chances for two lucky fan to win a car courtesy of Rider Mazda. As fans enter the game they will be handed a ticket that could give them a chance to throw a frisbee through a target for the new car.

Monday's game will be carried live by WMAJ Radio and start at 1 p.m.
