Mark entered the 2007 season with hopes of being a major contributor to the rotation after putting up solid numbers in 2006 and perhaps ending the season with his name being called on draft day. However, those hopes were derailed early in the season when he suffered a shoulder injury, ending his season after just three appearances and 5.1 innings. After having surgery during the season and recovering and rehabbing during the summer and fall as well as during the preseason, Wyner hopes to be recovered enough to be able to contribute to the team this year, either as a starter or a reliever. If he is able to do so, the team will be that much better, as Wyner is a tall, talented pitcher that, if fully recovered, has pro potential. 2007 (Redshirt/Junior): Pitched in just three games, making two starts, before being shut down with a shoulder injury....Received a medical redshirt, and will have two years of eligibility remaining....Pitched 5.1 innings and had an 0-2 record....Allowed six hits, five earned runs and struck out four....Pitched a scoreless inning of relief against Kansas (3-13).

West Virginia (Freshman): Pitched in six games, starting two, and had an 0-3 record for the Mountaineers; Struck out 11, walked 13, and gave up 13 hits in 12.2 innings pitched; Had a 10.66 ERA but held opponents to a .260 batting average.
