AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2013: Received the starting nod in seven games and came on in relief nine times during his first season with Penn State ... His seven starts ranked fourth on the team in 2013 ... Finished tied for fourth on the squad in strikeouts with 22 ... Totaled 42.2 innings pitched ... Opened the year by tossing 2.1 innings in relief at East Tennessee State on Feb. 17, allowing no earned runs and just one hit while striking out one batter ... Threw seven innings of shutout baseball in his first start as a Nittany Lion, scattering five hits and recording two punchouts in the win over Omaha on March 3 ...
