AS A JUNIOR IN 2012: Played and started in all but one game ... Ranked fourth on team with 56 hits and second with a .280 batting average in Big Ten play ... Collected 16 RBIs and scored 23 runs with 11 doubles ... Consistently started at second base, fielding at a .875 clip ... Started off the season on a hot streak, recording 16 hits in the first 17 games while also scoring seven runs and knocking in five RBIs during that stretch ... Scored two runs in his first game of the season against Seton Hall on Feb. 17 ... Recorded three runs, three hits, two RBIs and a double during the Big East/Big Ten Challenge from Feb. 17-19 ... Continued to excel in Big Ten play with five hits, a run and an RBI in the Iowa series (April 20-22) ... Earned a season-high of two RBIs on April 29 against Ohio State, ending the series with one run, three hits, two RBIs and two stolen bases ... Had a banner day against Minnesota on May 5, collecting two runs, two hits and two stolen bases ... Went 3-for-3 on May 6 against the Gophers, and shined in the series with three runs, six hits and two RBIs.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2011: One of only three players to start all 54 games for the Nittany Lions ... Split time between right field and second base ... Ranked fourth on the team with 51 hits and 34 runs scored ... Also posted 23 RBI and was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts ... Caught fire early in the season, posting a nine-game hitting streak from Feb. 26-March 12 ... Went 3-for-3 with an RBI and run scored against Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 27 and posted three straight multi-hit efforts during the middle of that run ... Collected five hits, including a double and triple, during a doubleheader against N.C. State on March 5 and added two more hits against Old Dominion on March 8 ... Went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored against Norfolk State on March 12 ... Chipped in with two more hits against the Spartans during the second game of a doubleheader the following afternoon ... Posted his finest series of the season against Le Moyne, tallying six hits, five runs scored, and a pair of RBI in three games against the Dolphins ... Recorded two hits and a pair of RBI against Illinois on April 3 and later trumped that effort on April 9 with two hits, three RBI, and two runs scored against Northwestern on April 9 ... Kicked off a team-best 13-game hitting streak on April 17 against Purdue ... Scored seven runs during that stretch and added a 2-for-3 effort against Ohio State on April 23 ... Possessed an extremely strong arm and posted a pair of outfield assists during the year ... Also recorded an out on the mound against N.C. State on March 5.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2010: True freshman saw action in 15 games - including six starts - at shortstop, recording two hits in limited at-bats ... Most of the action came early in the season ... Also scored and drove in a pair ... Walked twice and was hit by two pitches ... Saw first collegiate action, coming in defensively against Notre Dame on Feb. 28 ... Hit a sacrifice fly in first collegiate plate appearance against McNeese State on March 5 ... Walked and swiped first-career base against Lamar on March 6 ... Picked up first-career hit along with second stolen base (in as many games) at Lamar (March 7) ... Went 1-for-4 with first-career RBI and run scored at Texas A&M on March 9.
HIGH SCHOOL: Standout for the Palmetto Panthers in Miami, Fla. ... Finished career with a .424 batting average, 110 hits, 74 runs scored and 70 RBI in 80 games ... Capped off career with a .471 average as a senior along with four home runs and 25 RBI ... Posted a .432 average with four long balls and 30 driven in a year prior ... Won a Gold Glove in 2007 ...
