AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE IN 2013: Appeared in 12 games as a reliever during his junior campaign ... Tossed a total of 12.1 innings from the mound and recorded an ERA of 5.84 ... Held the oppositiong to an average of just .178, the lowest mark on the team for any pitcher that recorded at least 10 innings pitched ... Struck out 10 batters on the year ... Started the year by combining to throw three innings of shutout baseball in his first four appearances ... Opened the season with a perfect inning at Liberty on Feb. 24, striking out one ... Struck out one and allowed no runs in 0.2 innings of work in a 3-0 win over Omaha on March 3 ... Came out of the bullpen and held Houston scoreless on March 6, striking out two hitters ...
