Senior leader Dan Mazzocco claimed his second consecutive All-American honor with a 31st place finish at the NCAA Championship Meet.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; November 29, 2006 - Nittany Lion senior Dan Mazzocco (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was named to the 2006 NCAA Division I Men's All-America team this week in recognition of his 31st place finish at the National Championship Meet. This is Mazzocco's second consecutive All-American honor.

One of the most talented and determined runners on the squad, Mazzocco led the team in every race and routinely finished in the top three during the regular season. He took fourth place overall at the Mid-Atlantic Regional to lead the team to a fifth-place finish, and finished 15th at the NCAA Championships. Last year, he placed 43rd at the National meet to gain All-American status.
