TERRE HAUTE, Ind., Nov. 22, 2004 - Penn State All-Region sophomore Dan Mazzocco (Pittsburgh, Pa.), finished 78th today in his second appearance at the NCAA Cross Country Championships hosted by Indiana State University.

Mazzocco finished the 10-kilometer course in a time of 32:24.1. Wisconsin's Simon Bairu won the NCAA individual title in a time of 30:37.7. Colorado swept the Championships by winning both the men's and women's team titles. The men took first place with a total of 90 points and just beat Big Ten foe Wisconsin who finished second with 94 points.
