Penn State Men finish 12th at ICAAAA Championships

Bronx, NY - The Penn State Mení»s Cross Country team finished 12th today at the 97th ICAAAA/21st ECAC Championships.

Senior Chris Nirschel finished 32nd overall, leading the team with a time of 25:52.8. Also scoring were sophomores Oskar Nordenbring (47th, 26:03.6) and Michael Syrnick (66th, 26:16.6), junior Mark Horton (75th, 26:23.6), and seniors Ian McCann (82nd, 26:28.6), Matt Lincoln (85th, 26:30.1), and Sean Kennedy (100th, 26:44.4).

Seniors Kyle Berseth and Patrick Murphy, freshman John Mahoney, and junior David Moore also participated.

Duke took the Mení»s team title, with Cornell and Notre Dame rounding out the top three. Ryan Sheehan of St. Francis took first place with a time of 24:58.9 on the 5-mile course.
