UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Two Nittany Lions were added to the NCAA Cross Country Championships start list as announced by the NCAA Saturday afternoon. Timothy McGowan and Colin Abert will represent Penn State as individuals on the men's side next week in Louisville, Ky.

Timothy McGowan is fresh off a sixth-place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Regional in a time of 30:40.1, while Colin Abert finished ninth at the Mid-Atlantic Regional running 30:43.5 over the 10k course.

Abert and McGowan are the first men to qualify for the NCAA Championships for Penn State since Matt Fischer in 2014.

The Nittany Lion duo will look to finish the season on a strong note when they toe the line at University of Louisville's E.P.'Tom' Sawyer State Park.
