UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.: November 8, 2012 - The Nittany Lions are set to play host to the 2012 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Cross Country Championships, this Friday at the Blue-White Golf Courses. The outstanding field is slated to feature a host of talented squads, including No. 13 Princeton, and No. 25 Georgetown in the men's race, as well as No. 9, and defending NCAA Champion Georgetown, the 15th-ranked Nittany Lions, and the No. 25 Villanova Wildcats on the men's side. Fans planning to attend are asked to please note the parking guidelines below.
SPECTATOR PARKING: Spectator parking will be available at the Nittany Deck at $6.00 per vehicle or $1.00 per hour. All vehicles must enter the left entrance lane next to the kiosk booth only. Nittany Deck is a short walk across Atherton Street to the start line on the Blue-White Golf Courses.
About the NCAA Regional Championships ...
When: Friday, November 9
Where: University Park, Pa. (Blue-White Golf Courses)
Race Times: 12:00 p.m. (Women's 6,000m); 1:15 p.m. (Men's 10,000m)
Qualifying Procedure: NCAA bids will be on the line at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, as the top two finishing teams per gender will receive automatic-qualifying bids to the NCAA Cross Country Championships, set for November 17, in Louisville, Ky. The remaining teams will still be alive for at-large berths, which are based on performances throughout the season. The NCAA will also advance the top four individuals (within the top 25), who are not members of an advancing team.
