State College, Pa., October 15, 2005 ¨C The Penn State Nittany Lion women¡¯s cross country team finished 15th in the 32 team Penn State National meet hosted by Penn State University today. Duke finished first, Providence second and Tennessee third. Senior Tracey Brauksieck paced Penn State and finished 39th out of a total of 289 runners in a time of 22:03.

Freshman Janelle Young finished 79th in a time of 22:46. Sophomore Sonja Hinish finished 92nd (22:58) and senior and team captain Kate Curran finished 103rd (23:07).

Other notable performances came from freshman Claire Berryman who finished 132nd (23:34) and junior¡¯s Kelly Chadwick and Shannon Van Dyke who finished 138th (23:38) and 144th (23:42).
