Penn State Women's Cross Country Team Places Tenth at the Notre Dame Cross Country Invite

NOTRE DAME, Ind., Oct. 1, 2004 - The Penn State women's cross country team took tenth place today at the Notre Dame Cross Country Invite competing against 24 other teams. The women scored a total of 315 points, only 4 points behind Florida State, who had a total of 311 points. Stanford won the race, with Michigan and Notre Dame taking second and third place respectively.

All-Big Ten and All-Region senior Molly Landreth (Newburyport, Pa.) finished 38th with a time of 17:40. Senior Chelsea Lenge (West Hartford, Conn.) finished 53rd (17:49) and freshman Nicki Bohnsack (Rockford, Mich.) finished 63rd (17:57). Also, junior Tracey Brauksieck (Homer, N.Y.) finished 93rd with a time of 18:18.

Next up for the women Harriers is the Saint Frances Invitational on October 2. The meet is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
