UNIVERSITY PARK, PA -- The second practice of the 2015 Nittany Lion cross country season took place at the Lower Trails approximately 45 minutes southwest of campus.
"Day two of preseason cross country camp we headed down to a trail about 45 minutes from here called the Lower Trail, it's a nice flat 11-mile run along the Juniata River," said head coach John Gondak.
"It's a great place, marked every mile; we actually used it as a progression run today," Gondak continued. "I thought the team did great, I'm very pleased with how things are going and the atmosphere here with Penn State cross country. Tomorrow is an easy day, we've worked hard the last two days so we'll recover and do a little tutorial in the weight room. Ill also have them fill out some goal sheets for the season and then do a longer run on Saturday with another recovery day on Sunday and then we roll into the school year and the school week starting Monday."
Penn State is hosting two cross country meets this year, the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational on Friday, September 11 and the Penn State Open on Saturday, October 17.
