Penn State Student-Athletes Earn 71 Academic All-Big Ten Fall Honors
Seventy-one Nittany Lion student-athletes, representing seven fall sports, have earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. Penn State's 71 honorees brings the Lions' all-time total to 3,130 over the last 15 years, which ranks first among all Big Ten institutions. Junior Bridget Franek (Hiram, Ohio) posted a 23rd-place finish to earn All-America honors, while the Nittany Lion men took 25th in the team standings, Monday at the NCAA Cross Country Championships at Indiana State University. Franek's finish was the best of her three appearances at cross country nationals, and her first career All-America finish in cross country. Read More >>

Also making the trip to Indiana State University is junior Bridget Franek (Hiram, Ohio), who will be making her third-straight appearance at the NCAA cross country meet, and her seventh NCAA appearance overall in her already accomplished career.
