Zarzeczny will look to make an immediate impact for the Nittany Lions after an outstanding high school career at Avonworth High School in Pittsburgh, Pa. Zarzeczny won the PIAA AA cross country title in 2006, and posted several all-state finishes on the track, including a pair of third-place efforts at 1600-meters.
