York transferred to the Nittany Lions from George Mason this year and she will be a welcome addition. During the 2004 season she emerged a track star at George Mason, winning the 800 meters at Capital Athletic Conference Championships and earning CAA Freshman of the Year honors. She also finished 16th in the 800 meters at the ECAC Track Championships.
