Penn State Track and Field 2010 - Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track

Entering Penn State Indoor Meets:
Penn State hosts some of the most highly competitive meets on the East Coast during the indoor season. All events are by INVITATION ONLY and we may not be able to accommodate all requests for entry. If you are interested in attending any of the Penn State indoor competitions, please complete the online "Intent to Compete Form." You will be notified via email of your entry status when the form is received.

Unattached Entries:
We are able to accept unattached entries on a limited basis. Our first priority is to collegiate athletes, so we may not be able to guarantee acceptance of unattached entries until our collegiate fields are finalized. Please contact Jess Riden via email at jnr126@psu.edu; or call 814-863-2120 to discuss possible entry.

Facility:
The Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track is 200-meter Mondo with hydraulically banked turns (six 42" lanes with 65" radius on oval) and eight 48" lanes on the sprint straightaway. There are dual runways for long jump, triple jump and pole vault with two pits each for pole vault and high jump. Throws are contested onsite on the turf area adjacent to the track.

1. The schedule will feature individual and relay events. All field events will be contested.
2. Minimum marks will be enforced in the field events.

1. This competition been reformatted from past years. Entry is by strict INVITATION ONLY.
2. All standard track and field events will be contested.

Jan. 29-30, 2010 - Penn State National

One of the premiere competitions of the entire indoor season ...

Meet Notes:
1. Fields will be limited to approximately 30 athletes per event.
2. Teams may enter a MAXIMUM of THREE (3) athletes per event via DirectAthletics.
3. We cannot guarantee your entire team will be accepted.
4. We will host a pentathlon and heptathlon. The field will be limited to 12 athletes per field. Please contact Jess Riden (jnr126@psu.edu) prior to Jan. 15, 2010 to discuss possible entry.

Meet Notes:
To provide a high quality scholastic meet, acceptance will be limited to the first 30 girl's teams that register and the first 30 boy's teams that register.

Note: It is important to register early, since the meet may be full prior to the December 14 deadline.

ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE IN FULL FOR ACCEPTANCE INTO THE COMPETITION.
