UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's and women’s track & field teams moved up in the latest top-25 of the National Computer Rankings, as released Monday afternoon by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Both Nittany Lion track & field teams are represented in the rankings with the men's team holding the No. 8 spot, while the women are No. 24 in the rankings. The men team improved 10-spots in this week’s poll following a strong showing at the Penn State National Open this past weekend in Happy Valley.
Penn State is represented by seven marks on the men’s side and two on the women’s side in the top-10 of Division I rankings, while at the conference level, Penn State has 15 performances on the women’s side and 24 on the men’s side in the top-10 of the Big Ten Conference.
The Nittany Lions host the Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup Friday-Saturday, February 2-3 with day one action getting underway at 5 p.m. ET at the Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.
