UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State wrapped up the final home meet of the indoor season Saturday afternoon at the Ashenfelter III Indoor Track where the Nittany Lions turned in several top-10 finishes as well as multiple personal best performances.
Kelsey Vieira and Audra Koopman finished 1-2 in the women's long jump with marks of 5.61m
The shot put saw Maddie Holmberg (13.69m/44'-11") and Yeboah-Kodie (10.43m/34'-2.75") finish third and seventh, while in the women's pole vault Hannah Mulhern (4.14m/13'-7") and Greer Gumbrecht (3.84m/12'-7.25") finished in gold and silver positions.
Tessa Barrett won the women's 5,000-meters running 16:28.11 - a season-best time. Tim McGowan won the men's 3,000-meters running 8:10.32 while Lisa Bennatan took the women's title in 9:36.83.
In the mile, James Abrahams' time of 4:12.39 and Tommy Louro's time of 4:16.44 were good for second and fourth-place while the women's mile saw Penn State finish 1-2-4-5-6 behind the efforts of Elizabeth Chikotas, Moira O'Shea, Jordan Williams, Grace Trucilla, and Victoria Crawford.
Vieira returned in the triple jump finishing second (12.48m/40'-11.50") along with teammates Julia Howard and Abigail Stultz who finished fourth and fifth in the event. Darian Alston won the men's competition with his mark of 13.98m (45'-10.50").
Frances Bull finished runner-up in the 400-meters running 56.82, while the men's 600-meters came down to a lean at the line that saw Jordan Makins take the win in 1:18.58 over Gary Ross' 1:18.59.
Stultz returned to the high jump clearing 1.70m (5'-7") to win the event over Megan McCloskey who finished second clearing the same height. Devin Bradham won the men's high jump with his jump of 2.12m (6'-11.50"). The Nittany Lions also finished second, third, and fourth in the event.
To cap the meet, Joey Logue, Gary Ross, Samuel Reiser, and Jordan Makins combined to run 3:15.93 for the win in the 4x400-meter relay.
Penn State returns to action for the Big Ten Indoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio February 23-24 at the Spire Institute.
