Before Penn State ... || High School || One of the top-ranked throwers on the East Coast and across the country, Kenney will join the Nittany Lion throws contingent with a PR of 156-2 in the javelin, which stands as the sixth-best performance in the country this year. Kenney had a wildly successful senior year at State College Area High School, picking up wins at the PIAA AAA State Championships, and the PIAA District VI Championships, as well as a victory against a national-class field at the prestigious Penn Relays. A three-time PIAA state qualifier, Kenney recorded third-place efforts during her sophomore and junior seasons, before taking top honors as a senior. The State College, Pa., native also held her own against top competition last month, placing 10th at the USATF Junior Championships in Eugene, Ore.
