Penn State leads all Big Ten institutions in Fall honorees
On the National Scene ... || 2012 Cross Country || Made her first-career appearance at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, finishing 159th overall, and 123rd in team scoring as the Nittany Lions' fifth runner ... Tied a season-best time at NCAAs, finishing the 6K course in 21:10 ... Came up just shy of all-region status at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, finishing 26th overall in 21:25 for 6,000-meters. || 2011 Cross Country || Got some national experience as the alternate on the Lions' NCAA-qualifying squad.
At the Big Ten Championships...|| 2012 Outdoor || Turned in a 23rd-place effort in her first appearance in the 10,000. || 2011 Cross Country || Was one of just two freshman to compete on the Lions' conference squad, placing 75th overall with a finishing time of 22:04.
On the Course...|| 2011 Cross Country || A member of the Penn State top seven in three competitions, making the travel squad for both the Roy Griak and Notre Dame Invitationals ... Placed seventh at the Lock Haven Dolan Duals ... Finished 50th overall at the Penn State National.
Around the Track...|| 2012 Outdoor || Placed 16th in the 5000 at the Bison Outdoor Classic, running a PR 17:35.68. || 2012 Indoor || Made three appearances during the indoor season ... Highest finish was fifth in the 3000 at the Nittany Lion Challenge, thanks to a PR 10:07.35.
Before Penn State...|| High School || Rodden was a two-time PIAA state qualifier as a senior, placing seventh in the 1600-meters, and 14th in the 3200-meters. Rodden, who also competed in both events at the PIAA Championships as a junior, recorded an impressive string of victories during the outdoor season, winning both distance events at the PCL Championships, and again at the PIAA District 12 Championships. Rodden is also a three-time state qualifier in cross country. The Archbishop Carroll product has ran 5:01.74 for the 1600, and 10:54.01 in the 3200 as a prep. || Personal || Daughter of Marylou and Tim Rodden... Enrolled in the College of Health and Human Development.
