Nittany Lion Club
EVENTS AND STEWARDSHIP
The Nittany Lion Club held the For the Future Closing Celebration at Pegula Ice Arena on Friday, April 11. Alumni, donors and student-athletes enjoyed a night of mingling, wonderful speeches and a spectacular fireworks finale.
We would like to thank all of the donors who have helped us reach far beyond our goal, by raising a total of $350,761,353 to date! You are the key to our future, and we could not have done it without you!

2014 Endowment Dinners
Fall Event Celebrating Spring and Winter Teams will be held October 31, 2014
Spring Event Celebrating Fall Teams will be held April 17, 2015
A large part of the continued athletic success at Penn State is due to the generosity of donors who establish scholarships. The annual Forever Blue and White Endowment Dinner is a wonderful time for our student-athletes to meet and connect with our donors. Unfortunately, not every team can always be represented due to competition, travelling or other circumstances.
In an effort to increase the opportunity for all donors to meet their student-athletes this year and make the dinner an even better experience for all, the Nittany Lion Club has decided to host two dinners. The first dinner will take place Friday, October 31, the night before the Maryland football game. This will be specifically for donors and student-athletes of winter and spring competing teams. The second dinner will be Friday, April 17, 2015 which is Blue-White weekend and will include the fall teams and both ice hockey teams. For your reference, please click here to see which teams will be attending each dinner.
Haley Kerstetter of the Penn State Field Hockey team expressed, "As I start my junior year, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to finally attend this dinner. I've heard so much about how great it is from the student-athletes of other sports who have been able to attend. I can't wait to have the chance to interact with and thank my donor in person for the first time."
As delightful as one large endowment dinner is, we believe having two separate dinners will truly make these events even better for both our donors and student-athletes. We appreciate your support of Penn State Athletics and look forward to the academic and athletic success of our student-athletes in the 2014-2015 school year.
Nittany Lion Club Thank-a-thon, November 1, 2014 (Maryland)
Our student-athletes hand out small tokens of appreciation to Nittany Lion Club members in tailgate areas before a football game. Student-athletes take this opportunity to personally thank donors in a uniquely Penn State atmosphere.
