•In February 2009, John accepted the role as the Interim Director of the Nittany Lion Club in conjunction with his Major Gift role.
•A graduate of University of South Carolina, where John was a four-year lettermen in the sport of soccer and received a Master's in Sports Administration and Facility Management from Ohio University.
•Prior to accepting his new position, John spent three years as the Senior Director of Development for Athletics at West Virginia University.
•John brings 23 years experience as an athletic administrator to the position of Director of Major Gifts for Athletics -eighteen of those years in athletic development.
•Former positions include Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions and Associate Athletics Director for External Development at the University of South Alabama. At the University of Massachusetts he held several positions: Director of Development for Athletics, Executive Director of UMass Athletic Fund, Executive Director of Athletic Development and Marketing and Associate Athletic Director for Development.
•John and his wife, Laurie, have two boys, Tucker and Mason.
