If your name is listed above, please plan to attend our first team meeting on Tuesday, May 6 at 4:30 p.m. in 301 Career Services Center. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact Sue Sherburne at src122@psu.edu before Tuesday’s meeting.

 

2014-15 Pre-Tryout Clinic

Sunday, April 6 - White Building
Cost: $25.00 
12:30 p.m. - Registration (White Building Lobby)
1:30-2:30 p.m. - Dance Clinic

What it involves: Members of the Lionettes Dance Team will lead technique and teach a routine they performed within the past year. In addition, there will be a Q & A session to address questions participants might have about becoming part of the Dance Team. After the clinic, participants are invited to join us for our "Friends and Family" event to watch the Lionettes perform their National Competition routine.

Calypso Leap
Side Leap
Switch Leap
Double and Triple turns
A la seconde turns
Skill of your choice
Jazz Routine
Funk Routine
Pom/Kickline Routine

If a high school senior or transfer student, Penn State Acceptance Letter to University Park Campus for fall 2014
Appropriate dance attire and jazz shoes

Try Out Weekend Schedule

Friday, May 2
5:00-6:00 p.m. Registration (White Building)
6:00-6:30 p.m. Informational Meeting (126 White Building)
6:30-8:30 p.m. First Clinic
8:30-10:00 p.m. First Round Eliminations
*Participants will learn three routines, review skills, and be evaluated on their performance.

Saturday, May 3
12:00 p.m.-12:30 p.m. Registration and warm-up (106 White Building)
1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Second Round Eliminations (113 White Building)
*Participants who are invited back to second round eliminations will be evaluated on routines and skills learned during Friday evening’s clinic.

Sunday, May 4
12:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m. Personal Interviews (113 White Building)
*Participants who are invited back to this round will be interviewed by a panel of judges. Professional dress is recommended.
