Penn State Athletics Marketing Interns assist the Marketing Department's full-time staff in planning and executing game production and promotions in addition to creating branding campaigns for Penn State's 31 Division I athletic programs. Interns get to work games as well as grassroots initiatives on campus and in the community.

Our internship program has 3 levels of interns: Gameday & Grassroots interns, a Leadership Council, and Executive Interns. Members of the Leadership Council as well as the Executive Interns get the opportunity to be the primary contact for their own sports, everything from meeting with the coaches to creating the marketing plan and working the events is expected.

The internship is unpaid, but can be taken for credit if your college allows. We also have a high success rate of placing former interns into the industry if this is career path is of interest.

If you're interested in applying to be a Penn State Athletics marketing intern, please reach out to PJ Mullen at for application deadlines.
