All Sports Museum to Host Title IX Panel
Sept. 13, 2012
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State All-Sports Museum is proud to announce that it will be hosting a panel discussion on the topic of Title IX on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Penn State All-Sports Museum. This will feature some of Penn State female athletics pioneers including Martha Adams, Sue Delaney-Scheetz, and Coquese Washington.
The three will discuss their earliest experiences with women in sport, and where we are today. Passed in 1972, Title IX revolutionized women's sports throughout the country. On the leading edge the gender equality issue, Penn State was fielding 11 women's teams before the law passed.
The event is free and open to the public.
