Captains Sara Leary, Alexa Schear, Danielle Galipo and Becca Roderick led this year’s dance team while Sue Sherburne serves as the team’s Advisor. Sherburne is also the Assistant Director at the Morgan Academic Center.
“The girls and I are excited to bring another national title back to Penn State, Sheburne said. “I am so proud of the girls for their dedication and effort to achieve this goal. We appreciate the incredible support we receive from the Penn State community and are happy to be able to give Penn Staters something more to cheer about.”
Each team is judged on technical skill in pom, hip-hop and jazz dance styles. Eleven dance divisions and almost 7,000 students competed in the competition.
