The Athletic Council for Diversity and Inclusion (ACDI) would like to invite all staff, administrators and coaches to a lunch seminar entitled, "Mentors in Violence Prevention" (MVP)," on Monday, April 13 in the Bryce Jordan Center's Founder's Lounge.

The Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) National Program, was founded in 1993 by Northwestern University. The Program is now a leadership program that motivates student-athletes and student leaders to play a central role in solving problems such as rape, battering and sexual harassment. The Program, composed of former professional and college athletes, motivates men and women to work together in preventing gender violence.

The MVP program is part of the National Consortium for Academics & Sport. Penn State is a member of this National Consortium and the Big Ten Conference is sponsoring this programming for all of its member schools. The Director of the MVP Program, Jeff O'Brien, will be one of the four presenters for this seminar.

The Lunch will be held at 11:30 a.m. with the seminar starting at noon. To RSVP please e-mail Jenn James at jw7@psu.edu or call 863-3471.
