Softball Prospect Camps, June 18 or August 13

The Penn State Softball Prospect Camps are one-day competitive camps designed for more advanced players who are serious about developing their skills in preparation for playing softball beyond high school. These camps provide players with an opportunity to demonstrate their talents under the direct supervision and evaluation of the Penn State coaching staff. Each player will learn the same skills and techniques that the Penn State softball players use to develop their game. Each camp features instruction on the fundamentals of hitting, fielding and pitching. These unique camps allow players to gather the information they need to reach their highest level of performance.

Who: Grades 8 and up, girls

Fee: $175 per camp(includes instruction and camp shirt)

Meal: Bring your own lunch. Gatorade and water will be provided.

Where: Beard Field, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Beard Field is located on the corner of University Drive and Park Avenue. All registrants are asked to arrive between 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. to check in with camp personnel.

Tentative Schedule, June 18 or August 13

8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.: Registration - Beard Field
9:00 a.m.: Welcome by Penn State Coaches
9:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Instructional Session
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Lunch (Bring your own lunch. Gatorade and water will be provided.)
1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.: Instructional Session
4:00 p.m.: Depart-Beard Field

Softball Camp, July 23-25

The Penn State Girls Softball Camp is designed to provide athletes with the opportunity to learn some of the same drills and skills that our Penn State players utilize to develop their game under the direct supervision of the Penn State coaching staff as well as other college coaches. Emphasis will be placed on hitting, pitching, fielding and position development in a fun and competitive environment.

Lectures, demonstrations and drill sessions are held daily where campers receive individual attention and encouragement. There will also be special sessions on strength training, nutrition, conditioning and sport psychology.

Who: Grades 8-12, girls

* $455 resident
(includes instruction, housing, meals, a camp shirt)
* $405 communter (includes instruction, all meals, a camp shirt, no housing)

*** Note: Active charges a fee on all camp registrations and transactions.

Total Fees:
Resident Camper Fee:
$455 plus Transaction Fee $20 = $475 total fee
Commuter Camper Fee:
$405 plus Transaction Fee $20 = $425 total fee

Meals: Lunch on the first day to lunch on the last day

Equipment -- Participants should bring softball gear including gloves, turf/tennis shoes, cleats and water bottle. Catchers should bring all gear including shin guards, chest protector and masks. Gatorade and water will be provided.
